FAQ
Common questions
What can I store in a yard?
Vehicles, trailers, boats, RVs, construction equipment and building materials. Hazardous materials, fuel storage, living on site, and repair or manufacturing work are not permitted.
Can I get in at any time?
Access hours are set for each site and shown on its listing. Every tenant gets their own gate credential, and every entry is logged.
Do I need insurance?
Yes. You are responsible for insuring the property you store. Business tenants provide a certificate of insurance before move-in, and My Yard reminds you before it expires.
How does payment work?
You pay a deposit and your first month when you sign, then rent is charged automatically each month. You get a reminder before each payment and an alert right away if one fails.
How long is the agreement?
Month-to-month for most yards. Business and enterprise yards can take longer terms at a better rate.
Is my equipment guaranteed safe?
Our sites have fencing, a controlled gate, lighting and cameras on common areas, but no security measure is a guarantee against theft, weather or damage. That is why insurance is required.
I own land. How fast can it start earning?
Most sites need a two to three month build-out and lease-up period, at a reduced introductory rent. After that, rent steps up to the agreed terms.
